What is rheumatism?
Rheumatism is a painful condition involving the bones, joints, muscles or tendons. It does not refer to a particular condition/ disease. Most often people associate rheumatism with arthritis or rheumatic fever. The term is no longer used in medical or technical literature.

Rheumatism can involve arthritis & non articular conditions like tendinitis, bursitis, fibromyalgia.

The various rheumatological conditions covered under rheumatism are—
Various types of arthritis (Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, reactive arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, Gout, Rheumatic fever related arthritis)
