Do anti-arthritis drugs affect fertility?
* Sulphasalazine—sulphasalzine may decraese the sperm count and motility. However, this is reversible and the counts/ motility return to normal by 2 months. Sulphasalazine has not been shown to affect fertility in ladies.
* Methotrexate—Methotreaxte is not thought to significantly affect fertility in either sex.
* Leflunomide—Leflunomide is not thought to significantly affect fertility in either sex. However, it is not used in the reproductive age group due to its potential to affect the unborn baby.
* Hydroxychloroquine—Hydroxychloroquine is not thought to significantly affect fertility in either sex.
* Methotrexate—Methotreaxte is not thought to significantly affect fertility in either sex.
* Leflunomide—Leflunomide is not thought to significantly affect fertility in either sex. However, it is not used in the reproductive age group due to its potential to affect the unborn baby.
